The Gator Experience Record
The Gator Experience Record brings the student UF experience to life.
The Gator Experience Record (GER) is the University of Florida’s official Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR), highlighting students’ curricular and co-curricular experiences. This record will showcase students’ validated achievements and competencies, becoming an integral part of their learning journeys and helping them advance in their academic and professional careers. This digital platform displays structured learning activities and achievements outside the classroom with experiential learning activities within the classroom that are not documented on the academic transcript.
The Gator Experience Record is a resource for students to explore new experiences and articulate their learning. This is also a tool for the University of Florida to collect data to elevate the holistic educational experience.
The Gator Experience Record recognizes curricular and co-curricular learning through the following categories: · Community Based Learning
Creative and Entrepreneurial Works
Internship, Co-Op and Work Based Learning

History and Timeline
The concept of the Gator Experience Record stemmed from the University of Florida’s efforts to capture comprehensive experiential learning engagement data. From this request, the University’s Internship, Practicum, Work-Based, and Experiential Learning Reporting policy was created in 2023. After initial cycles of data collection, the university invested in additional resources to
support experiential learning outcomes and reporting, including implementation of a Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR).
Phase 1: Initial Record
The initial rollout in Fall 2025 will focus on delivering a foundational Gator Experience Record, capturing a select range of verified curricular and co-curricular experiential learning activities. Students should expect to see key activities and competencies, with the understanding that additional verified experiences will be added incrementally over time.
Future Phases and Expansions
While the initial record provides a starting point, subsequent phases will bring more comprehensive data and new functionalities. Students and stakeholders should anticipate ongoing updates as the system expands to include more experiences, departments, and badges. Full integration of all student activities may take time, but the aim is to continuously improve the Gator Experience Record as more data becomes available and systems are streamlined.
University Supporters
To be built out- Include every college/department/unit that has contributed to GER
The Gator Experience Record could not be possible without university-wide support from colleges, divisions, and departments. Thank you to our partners who have worked to ensure their experiences were included on the Gator Experience Record!
